About Saint James Anglican Church
Spirit filled congregation centered on the worship of Jesus Christ, the Sacraments, and Biblical truth.
Our congregation was founded in the Fall of 2009 by a small group of faithful parishioners under the pastoral leadership of the Rev. Robert Kirkland. Saint James continues to be a constituent member of the Anglican Diocese of the Carolinas under the guidance of our Diocesan Bishop the Rt. Rev. Steve Wood and regional leadership of the Rt. Rev. David Bryan. All are faithful members of the Anglican Church of North America (ACNA).
We are a more traditionally minded, yet spirit filled congregation centered on the worship of Jesus Christ, the Sacraments, and Biblical truth. Our services follow the Anglican Book of Common Prayer 2019 with traditional and singable Hymns. Music and joyful expression characterize our friendly and welcoming community. “We may be a small congregation, but we are mighty in the Lord!”
During the 2020 lockdown Saint James responded with Online Worship followed by “Drive-Thru” Communion. We now worship In-Person at Redeeming Grace PCA Church in Lake Wylie, SC (4800 Charlotte Highway, Lake Wylie, SC) and (currently) on Sunday evenings at 4:00 p.m. Although we encourage In-Person worship, our services are still available Online via Facebook and (coming soon) YouTube.
“If you’re looking for a good church with loving people and sound Biblical Truth – stop looking! You found one! We’d love to have you join us!” – Fr. John Riebe.
